  • Open Space Preservation

    South Jordan City continues working closely with the Utah Reclamation Mitigation Conservation Commission (URMCC), the Trust for Public Lands (TPL), and other parties to secure and acquire properties for inclusion in the Jordan River Parkway. The City is currently involved in negotiations with developers for dedication and development of parkway land west of the Jordan River south of 10600 South. Mulligan's Golf Course north of 10600 South recently expanded its operation beyond its driving range and miniature golf activities to include two 9-hole executive golf courses thereby increasing the open space commitment in this quadrant.

  • Jordan River Parkway Trail

    A new section of the Jordan River Parkway Trail will shortly be under construction. The section of trail to be constructed is from 10600 South to 11600 South. The anticipated completion date is scheduled for October 15, 2001.

  • River Front Pond

    The 3/4 acre pond is located at 11200 South and is part of approximately 22 acres of natural habitat on the west side of the Jordan River. The pond provides angling opportunities for rainbow trout stocked by the Division of Wildlife Resources. The Jordan River hosts a variety of warm water fish species. A variety of bird and waterfowl may also be seen.
